My Experience with MacBook Bottom Case Replacement
As I am from India, I visited our local Apple service center and inquire for bottom case replacement. At my first visit, they refused to replace and asked for paid one. When I informed about this replacement program, they asked me to contact Apple for it. As online replacement is not available in India, I had to talk with apple for this case.
Then I dialed Apple’s tool free number 1800 425 4646 for India which I got from their contact page. I discussed the case with representative and they verified my MacBook serial number (which was eligible for this program). They asked me to visit local Apple service center again. I did that and informed the guy at service center about my conversation with Apple representative who instructed to visit you again.
They took some photographs of my MacBook bottom case and said we will let you know whether your MacBook is eligible or not by tomorrow.
I did not receive any call from Apple’s local service provide for 3 days, then I again call Apple customer support on specified toll free number. They told me to wait for few minutes while they inquire from their side. In my surprise, within 15 minutes, I got a call from local Apple service provider who asked me to visit their store with MacBook.
Finally, my MacBook bottom case was replaced by our local apple service provider at my third visits to their location.
