After the launch of Bing search engine and merger with Yahoo search, Microsoft is now working very hard to promote Outlook. Recently I came across one article featuring Microsoft’s website “scroogled“.
I was surprised to see the information provided on this website! The title of the website says “Don’t Get Scroogled!” The website is solely created to share information about Gmail and the way Google is serving ads in inbox. There is no doubt that Microsoft has started open war with Google by citing privacy policy to promote their Outlook emails.
Regarding to Google; they are very transparent in their privacy policy and clearly provided information on “How Gmail Ads Work?”
Now, the biggest question is; why Microsoft is doing this? Are they promoting their product or they are really interested in protecting privacy of email users? Share your thoughts on this war between these two biggest brands on Internet.
