Latest updates from #OnePlus5T launch event:

Feature specificsof OnePlus 5T

Not that we are far from the official launch of the phone, the hardware of OnePlus 5T has made an appearance in GFXBench revealing its exclusive features. The German news, at the same time, is quite in the air that the new OnePlus smartphone does not have optical zoom option that was seen in OnePlus 5 earlier in this year. GFXBench highlights the feature list which includes the availability of Android 7.1.1 Nougat on the OnePlus 5T (A5010) with an exclusive OxygenOS version. This means instead of being an upgraded version of OnePlus 5, the new OnePlus 5T will not run out of Android Oreo out-of-box. Well, earlier the Android build were being tested which possibly the same be applied for OnePlus 5T.

The humours and leaks of the phone’s features display a list of 6-inch display of 1080x 2160 pixels resolution, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon ARMv8 chipset, Snapdragon 835 Soc, 8GB of Ram AND Adreno 540.

OnePlus 5T unlike OnePlus 5 will show edge-to-edge bazel-less screen and a typical 18:9 ratio instead of the regular 16:9. The optic AMOLED screen will additionally support both DCI-P3 wide and sRGB colour gamut which is also called as Sunlight display. The built-in software that adjusts the phone’s light when exposed to bright or harsh light for better viewing experience.

The GFXBench announcement in talk

GFXBench makes it quite clear that phone will come with a 64GB OnePlus 5T variant with 6GB & 8 GB of RAM, like that of OnePlus 5. It will have a 111GB of user-accessible storage hinting at a 128GB total inbuilt storage. Moreover, GFXBench announces that OnePlus 5T will come with an array of sensors including compass, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, GPS, gyroscope, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. The phone is also listed with Wi-Fi connectivity, NFC and Bluetooth.

If the specification made by GFXBench is true, then it can be concluded the performance of OnePlus 5T is marginal over the OnePlus 5. The new handset makes a 59.9 fps onscreen score compared to that of OnePlus 5 that makes an onscreen score of 59.7fps.

However, there is no news on the details of the camera of the handset. But the German sources claim that the dual camera setup in OnePlus handset does not allow an optical zoom. It is said have a set of 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel image sensor with aperture and focal length of f/1.7 and 27mm respectively. The older version (One plus 5) had a telephoto lens of f/2.4 aperture and wide-angle lens of f/1.7 aperture.

But amazing is the feature of the large aperture lenses on the OnePlus 5T that despite the absence of optical zoom, it enables a low-light photography over previous model. Similarly, the updated lens set is expected to enhance the image quality enhancing the actual depth of field. Oneplus has announced the formal launch of OnePlus 5T on November 16. After a week of its launch, the Indian will see it from November 21. Accordingly to recent OnePlus 5T unboxing video, it clearly shows the finger censor will be available on this phone.
